Morgére trawl doors and scallop dredges will be featured at Itechmer

Tuesday, 10 October 2017

Morgére will be featuring its new ‘Osprey’ semi-pelagic trawl door at the forthcoming Itechmer exhibition (18 to 20 October) in Lorient.

Osprey has already been well received by skippers with the doors now being used by vessels in France, Canada and Iceland.

The robust steel Osprey trawl doors are specially designed to fish on or just above the seabed, providing excellent stability and featuring an efficient angle of attack that reduces drag and thus fuel consumption.

Morgére’s highly popular Exocet trawl doors will also be on display at Itechmer. These doors have proved highly successful due to their excellent performance and they are now widely used by skippers in Europe and Canada.

Scallop fishermen will be interested in the scallop dredges that Morgére will be promoting at Itechmer. These include the N-Viro dredge that provides environmental benefits and also reduced fuel consumption.

For scallop fishermen who fish in the Bay of St Malo, Morgére will also be promoting its own design of 2m dredge that has been specially created for fishing in that area.

Michel Dagorn of Morgére said: “We look forward to meeting with skippers at Itechmer. Morgére has a reputation for providing innovative solutions for the fishing industry and we hope as many fishermen as possible visit our stand to see the advantages of using our range of trawl doors, dredges and other fishing equipment.”
